Dear families, faculty, students and university community: I am writing to share the comprehensive educational project of Universidad de Desarrollo Sustentable.
After a long academic career at Universidad Nacional de Asunción, representing Paraguay in Grupo de Montevideo and completing postdoctoral work in Germany, I worked with other academics to establish a university project that considers factors often absent from today's universities.
Although many traditional universities began with theological education and later embraced scientific humanism, UDS once again integrates spiritual education throughout its technical and scientific preparation.
We are concerned that a technically trained young person could use their skills to commit crimes or break the law. We want our graduates to keep spiritual values, justice and respect for those yet to be born in mind.
Our University will always work within the law and its academic regulations, making every effort to ensure the academic excellence Paraguay deserves.
Our team of academics, leaders and staff is committed to improving the University's educational and operational conditions, nationally and internationally, through agreements with foreign institutions.
I thank and congratulate students and their families for placing their trust in our University. I am committed to honoring that effort with high-quality education that helps Paraguay become more sustainable, with a better quality of life and a more balanced and caring society.
